JFD Clients Weigh In

JaseFrederickDesign was my designer for a kitchen and bath remodel project. I had never lived through a remodeling or worked with a designer before, and the project would not have gotten done without her. She worked me through it step by step. She handled selection and ongoing management of the contractors, helped me make decisions, made sure materials were ordered on time, and overall managed the project well to its final conclusion. I'm very happy with the results and with Jase's talents as a project manager.

From an aesthetic viewpoint, Jase was a joy to work with. We have an Arts and Crafts style home, built in 1920, and we wanted to preserve original features when possible, and decorate with sensitivity to the period, but at the same time give the rooms a personal stamp. Jase took the time to understand what I wanted, and was able to translate that into design choices. She respected my taste and also opened my eyes to other possibilities. I also appreciated her advice on environmentally sound appliances and materials.

Because I had never worked with contractors on such a large project before, Jase was invaluable in helping me get what I wanted aesthetically and also in helping control the budget. For instance, one of the kitchen cabinets was not made properly to fit a the space, and Jase made sure that the cabinet was rebuilt to standard - for no charge - something I would have been hesitant to ask for on my own.

All in all great experience and I would certainly recommend Jase. I'm now sold on the benefits of working with a designer, even for smaller or medium sized projects.

If I had to describe Jase in three words they would be patient, professional and persistent. Jase has been stellar in meeting my very difficult interior design needs. I insisted on all chemical-free furnishings that fit our 1892 Victorian home and my eclectic tastes. Not an easy charge! Jase never balked at the challenge. She was persistent in finding pieces and vendors that fit our needs in every way.

Jase is easy to work with and provides topnotch customer service. There were times during the project that I wasn’t sure we’d find a solution but Jase never gave up. I am so thankful to her for helping us to furnish our home in a beautiful and truly “green” way.

We hired Jase through a recommendation from the contractor we were working with and were very pleased with her services. Jase was very easy to work with. I liked that she started with getting a sense of what our style preferences are and the philosophy that our home should be a reflection of those tastes and not dictated by current trends. She worked within our budget and had wonderful ideas and material suggestions.

Jase offered us several layout options with suggestions on how to reuse and repurpose the existing materials that worked within our budget and with the existing cabinets and tile work. I would recommend Jase for design services and would consider using her again for our design needs. My husband and I asked Jase to help us re-design our living room and bathroom. She came up with some great innovative designs which we had never thought of and helped us come to some compromises. We have very different tastes and with Jase's help were able to find a middle ground. We have an old house (1921) and wanted to update it while maintaining its charm, but it also has limitations, so her ideas were particularly inventive. She is creative and fun to work with. Her drawings were excellent and understandable. Jase is very talented and conducts her business with great professionalism and expertise. We are very happy with the results of our projects!
