The JFDesign Interior Design Process

Works Like This:

First Meeting

  • We’ll come to your home or business to do a walk-through and talk about the general parameters of your project

  • You'll have the opportunity to review our portfolio and ask questions about our organization and our design process and fee structure

  • Based on this first conversation you'll determine whether JaseFrederickDesign is a fit for your project

  • If we’re a fit, we’ll finalize the design agreement, arrange payment, and schedule the Exploration Meeting

Exploration

At this meeting we’ll measure your space, take photos, and talk about

  • All the details of how you live or work in the space, and how you use the specific rooms or areas we’ll be transforming

  • The project timeline and level of investment you’ll be making

  • What you like and don’t like functionally and aesthetically

  • What you already have that you’d like to incorporate into your new space and what new elements you’ll want or need to add

Design Concept

Based on information we gather during Exploration, we’ll bring you

  • Floor plans and furniture layout options

  • Lighting plan options

  • Color palette options

  • Examples and/or samples of all the design elements we’ll be considering – finishes, surface materials, furnishings, fixtures, fabrics, paints, and anything else you’ll need to complete the project

Design Finalization

Once the Design Concept is in place, we’ll

  • Review everything together and finalize choices based on your feedback

  • Provide sources and pricing for all physical elements of the project

  • Assist in the selection of project contractor(s) and other design/building professionals

Design Execution

Once the design is finalized and a contractor is selected, we'll

  • review plans and design elements with you and the contractor

  • monitor ordering, shipping, receiving, delivery and installation of project materials

  • work with contractor throughout the project to insure work is being completed according to plan

  • troubleshoot and problem-solve with contractor throughout project

  • create and follow up on execution of final project punch list
